On January 24 we had our First Appointment! I was so nervous for it! I was so scared she was going to tell me that I wasn't really pregnant and that it was all in my head! But then she did an Ultrasound and we got to see our little baby! It was so cool! I almost started crying when I first saw him/her. I still can't believe something so small is growing inside me! It's really hard to believe that with the baby being an inch big that she could pinpoint and show us the heart. We didn't get to hear the heart beat..but we will on February 14th! I am so excited for that appointment! She said the baby is developing right on schedule and everything looks perfect! That was the best news in the whole world! All my fears left me and I knew it was real and that I really am going to be a mom!
Shad was just as excited as I was, his face was priceless when he saw the baby..he saw it before I did. He is so excited to be a father. He is always touching my belly and talking to the baby! He's going to rock as a dad! We both have our fears of course, but we both know that we will get through this and be great parents! After all Heavenly Father has blessed us with this special spirit! :) So he must know that we will be great parents!
My parents are still just as excited for this baby! My mom took my fabric shopping so I can start making burp cloths and blankets! It was so fun! She is so excited to spoil this baby! I can't believe that my parents will have 4 grandkids in August!! It makes me feel so happy to have such loving parents that will love my child just as much as I do. What's even more fun, is my mom and I have started making plans for baby "friendly" vacations! We always go on vacation and we aren't going to stop now!
Shad and I are taking a "Baby Moon" in June! I can't wait! We are going to Georgia for a week to visit family! We both LOVE Georgia! I'm afraid of being way hot but it will be totally worth it to see everyone! And then his grandparents are going to come out after the baby is born! I seriously couldn't ask for a better family!
