So it's been a little bit since I last updated. Not much has been happening. Shad's job came to an end at the end of Sundance. So once again he is out of a job. And my job ended the last week of January. So we are both bumming it trying to find jobs. I start with the Utah Census on Feb 22. So I'm only out of a job for a few weeks. But finding Shad a new job is no fun! We aren't a fan of this economy and the fight for jobs. But what can ya do? I guess not much other than apply for ever job that comes available. Shad has been gone for the past 2 weekends and once again is gone this weekend. His Unit decided that they would do early drill this month. Which is nice to get it done and over with, but I'm not a big fan of not having my husband home for the weekends. Hopefully next weekend he'll be home and we can do something together. Shad and I can't wait for a Friday or Saturday night to go to a movie!
Shad came home from drill saying that his Unit may be getting deployed sooner than expected. So our plans of moving out of my parent’s home have been put on hold until we find out what is going on and when he will be going overseas again. I can't decided when I'd rather him go. If he goes sooner than I'll still be in school and have a distraction. If he goes later we take the risk of being pregnant while he is gone. I don't want that, I want him home with me to be a part of everything that comes with the first pregnancy and child. Selfish I know...but wouldn't everyone feel that way if they were put in this position? But anyways we will deal with whatever comes our way and be happy that he has a job.
Today was a wonderful day! My cousin’s son Lance got baptized. It was a wonderful experience to be a part of. There were wonderful talks given about Baptism and The Holy Ghost. My Uncle Robert was the one that baptized him. Just a few weeks ago he had the wonderful opportunity to receive the Priesthood and all the blessings that come with it. It is wonderful to see people grow in the gospel, especially my own family. Shad and I are still planning to go through the Temple in January 2011! It is a huge goal of ours that will take a lot of faith and work on both our parts. But it's something that we both want right now. Don't get confused and think that we regret not waiting and wish we just got married in the Temple. We do not regret having a civil marriage. We are very happy to be together and couldn't ask for anything more. We both feel that what we are doing is the right thing and will happen at the exact moment it needs to happen. The Gospel does amazing things to a couple’s relationship. Just going to church together has brought us closer in so many ways. It is wonderful to think about.
