[BIRTH]day BOY!!!

One year ago I gave birth to the most amazing, funny, adorable, crazy, busy baby boy! He has been the b i g g e s t blessing we could every dream of. It's amazing how one baby can change your outlook on life. Shad and I have grown up so much in the past year and have learned so much about ourselves and each other. I never thought having a child could do so much for your marriage. This year by no means has been easy. But I wouldn't trade it for the world! We love you Hayzen :)
Hayzen:
You have grown to be such an independent little guy! You love to do everything yourself. You started walking at 10 months and now we can't stop you. It's so fun to watch you learn new things. Your favorite thing right now is running back and forth and pulling anything you can your hands on. You make the BIGGEST messes around the house. But I don't mind cleaning up after you knowing that you are having so much fun! You love your puzzles that make noise! And you knew John Deer Truck! You push it everywhere! You got a little farm for your birthday also that you love to lay on the floor and play with! It's so fun to listen to you talk to the animals and push the buttons, or open the gates to make the animal sounds! You are so smart!!
You are still a huge lover of food...mainly fruit...okay Watermelon! If I would let you, you would eat Watermelon for every meal every day! But you do enjoy pancakes, eggs, french toast, chicken nuggets, spaghetti, beef, turkey steaks, mac n cheese and a few other meals. But you are turning into a picky eater! I'm hoping that changes. But I love giving you new foods for you to try. You make the funniest facial expressions when you don't like something. You like to feed the dogs your food also. When you are done eating or you just don't like what is on your tray you will pick it up and drop it on the floor for the dogs, then lean over to watch what one gets to it first. We are trying to teach you that you cannot do this...but it's funny to watch!
You LOVE Seven Peaks! You have only gone down a few kid slides but you love the kiddie pool, wave pool and the splash pad. You have no fear! You scare me to death! But I'm so glad you have a love of water just like me! I hope you take after me and enjoy swimming. We can't wait to take you out on the boat and swim in the lake and go on the tube next summer!! But anyways...back to Seven Peaks. You love running under the fountains at the Splash Pad. You could care less if the water splashes you in the face. You just smile and giggle and run some more!
You used to not like the grass and would do everything you could to NOT touch the grass. But now that you can walk you are all over the place in the backyard! You love your new freedom of being able to walk everywhere and not have to touch the grass. You will stand at the door and cry/scream until we go out and play in the grass. You chase Tink around while we play ball...she isn't to sure about it. But we find it funny.
I can't believe it's been a year baby!!! Happy 1st Birthday!! :)

Enjoy some pictures from his photo shoot!

We had so much fun at this photo shoot! Even though he refused to give us a big grin he was still funny!

9/10 Months! Double Digits Baby!

I can't believe my little baby is no longer a little baby anymore! He hit double digits yesterday!! How did this happen? ;) Time goes by so fast! In just 2 short months we will be celebrating his 1st Birthday!

Hayzen -- you are getting so big! You are so brave when it comes to standing by yourself, crawling up the stairs and standing on the steps without holding onto anything! You sure know how to give your mama a heart attach. But I love watching you grow and learn new things! You know a couple of signs which is so fun! You know how to say Mama and Dada really well! You are starting to say Dog which is so fun!! You love dogs! Monty doesn't love when you pounce on him...but he's getting used to it. Tink runs whenever you move close to her, it's so funny! She will love you more when you aren't attacking her. :) Cinch would like you all day every day if we'd let him! And Daisy loves you so much, she would play with you any day! It's so fun that everywhere you go there's a dog! haha

You took your second camping trip!! (your first was when you were just a few weeks old) You had a blast at the cabin over Memorial Weekend. You got mad at me for taking the rocks, dirt, tree bark, and other wonderful outdoor things out of your mouth. I do this because I love you. One day you will understand. :) You got to ride in the RZR for the first time and you loved it! We went on lots of rides and you were so good during all of them. You loved sticking your head out the side and reaching for the tree branches. You even took a long nap on one of our longer rides. :) We put you in your playpen out by the fire so you could do your own thing and not be getting into the ashes or other stuff around the fire pit. You weren't to sure about being in there alone, but after a little bit you got used to it and loved being able to crawl around and be "free". Grandma and Grandpa Eldredge bought you a swing and daddy put it up in a tree for you. You loved swinging, you always have a huge grin on your face! The camping trip must have worn you out pretty good because you slept all the way home!

You are so close to walking! I can't believe it! You pull yourself up on everything and stand by yourself. Your balance gets better everyday! You walk with your toys and holding mom or dads hands. Soon you won't need us right there in order for you to walk by yourself! I'm so happy and excited for you to learn all these new things. But it makes me sad knowing that my little newborn baby is no longer! So don't mind me when I'm crying and clapping at the same time when you do something new and exciting by yourself. :)

At your 9 month appointment you were 17lbs 11oz and 28inches long! The doctor was amazed at some of the things you are already doing! In other words...you are well advanced for you age and for how small you are!

People always tell me how big you are...when in reality you are so much smaller than most 10 month old! But we love you just the same. :)

I get told all the time that you should be a baby model! People love to hold you and stare at you. And you love to TALK to anyone and everyone.

You say Mama and Dada all the time. You say bottle...or what sounds like bottle when you are hungry. You know a few signs...milk and more.

You give the best *kisses* :) Open mouthed and closed mouth...you go back and forth. But I love them no matter what. You give everyone *hugs* and play "nice baby" (your second cousin Sarah taught you this)

You love to play in the water and splash around. You could care less about any toys in the water with you as long as you can splash. You think it's so funny when you splash water on your face! You will crack up laughing at yourself. I love it!!

Your favorites in life:

--Fruit...I have yet to find a fruit that you don't like!
--Turkey Steaks is a huge hit with you!
--Pancakes, waffles, toast/bread, EGGS and french toast are a few of your favorite breakfast foods
--Going on walks or a run with me in your stroller
--You sippy cup...you prefer that over your bottle any day
--Standing up on your own...at first this scared me really bad, but I'm getting used to it!
--Cruising, you love to walk along anything. You hold my hand and walk with me. But you are a little to scared right now to do it all on your own...but you are sooo close!!
--Juice. You LOVE your juice!!

Other Updates:

--size 2 diapers still...but we have switched you pretty much all the way to cloth diapers!! We love it and so do you!
--Your clothes are kind of all over the place in sizes. You range from 6-12 months! :) It's amazing how every brand fits you different
--You still drink 4-5 bottles a day, we are on formula now since it became way to stressfull and hard to pump at work. :( makes me so sad to even talk about but it's okay.
--You LOVE food!! You would much rather only have 2 maybe 3 bottles a day and have a ton of big boy food for the rest of the day...we don't let this happen very often though

We are so excited to see what the future holds for you! But slow down baby! No need to hurry and grow up on me. I already miss so much every day that I'm at work!

Happy 10 months baby!! :)

*I will upload Pictures Later*

8 Month Update! :)

My little baby is no longer a little baby! He turned 8 months on 4/6, I can't believe it! He is such a cutie! I can't get over how cute he is...yes I know I'm his mother so that's a good thing. But oh my word he is just so dang adorable! ;) He has accomplished SOOO many milestones in just a short period of time. I swear he will be walking soon. ;) I hope not, I don't want him to grow up to fast, but that's not my choice sadly. haha

Milestones Achieved So Far

-crawling...NOT scooting-
-pulls himself up on everything-
-stands without wobbling-
-knows his limits with falling/sitting back down after standing-
-walks his feet forward when standing next to the couch or chair-
-climbs the stairs-
-drinks from his sippy cup without any problems-
-says dada and mama perfectly-

The day he climbed the stairs I wanted to cry. In my mind he's to little to do these things. Everyone I told said no way he's to small and way to young to be doing that! So to watch him go up the stairs was so fun to see, but so sad at the same time! The constant fight I have with myself over every milestone he achieves. I want him to grow up and experience new things...but then again I want him to stay my little baby. The problems of a mom ;)

Hayzen has 5 teeth, working on his 6th. He loves to crunch, bite, and chew anything that goes in his mouth. This includes my finger when I'm checking for more teeth or getting something out that doesn't belong there. PS...they hurt!

Hayzen loves everyone he meets. He doesn't have any stranger danger at the moment. Which I'm very happy about. He loves his grandparents on both sides so much! My parent's do have the advantage with us living with them right now. Hayzen's face lights up whenever my dad walks into the room and talks to him. At dinner Hayzen's highchair is between Shad and I and Hayzen has to be in view of my dad. I think it's because of his voice. But I love it and think it's so dang cute!

Hayzen is still breast fed, but he loves big people food also. He has not had any sugar yet, and I don't plan on him having any until he's at least 10 months.

Favorite Food So Far

-bananas-
-mac and cheese-
-bread-
-potatoes-
-apple sauce-
-pears-
-eggs-
-yogurt-

He loves watching cartoon, we dont' watch very much TV as he is to young to be doing that. But he does like Mickey Mouse and other kid cartoon. Shad usually watches them with him so I can't name any! He loves playing on the floor with his toys! And he gets so excited when I get on the floor with him and play.

Here are some pictures from the month! :)

Spring is in the air :)

Hayzen turned 7 months on March 6th. He's as mobile as ever! He is climbing on everything, he crawls everywhere! He's almost mastered the stairs...scary I know! He's officially all grown out of his 3-6/6 month clothes...he's so tiny. But his 6-9/9 month clothes fit him perfectly! We are having so much fun watching him grow and learn new things every day. He's gotten really good at recognizing people. His eyes light up when I walk into the room! It makes me feel so good to see him super excited and happy to see me when I come to pick him up after work! Shad's been working grave yard shifts this past week and hasn't been able to see Hayzen to often. But when those two are together it's so fun to listen to Hayzen babble on and on to Shad and smile constantly. Melts my heart!

Hayzen is still eating 2-3 5 oz bottles of breast milk while I'm at work, and eats a ton of solid foods! He LOVES his food! A few new favorites are...scrambled eggs, macaroni and cheese, pancakes, and cooked carrots. He loves to feed himself. I will spoon feed him his fruits...which he LOVES, but he will feed himself whatever I put on his tray. :) He has baby snacks that he absolutely loves. He gobbles those things up so fast! He crunches them with all his teeth. He's loving having teeth. I can't say I've loved every minute of him getting these teeth. But we made it through! He has 5 teeth total. First tooth broke through on February 23rd while we were playing games at my grandmas. He has 4 on top and 1 on the bottom. He's bitten me a couple time...not so fun haha We don't have a doctors appointment until he is 9 months. So I have no idea how much he weighs or how tall he has gotten!

He loves to stand! He pulls himself up in his crib, up on the couches and chairs, against the wall, on my legs...anywhere where he can pull himself up he's standing! He was giving a toy that stands on the floor that he absolutely loves! He gets a little stressed out when he starts doing the splits and can't get his legs back together. But he will stand by it and play for a good 45 minutes to an hour! It's so fun to watch him discover new things!

With the weather changing I can't wait to spend more time outside! We have so many fun things planned for the summer! Camping, Seven Peaks, hiking, going to the cabin, riding the horses (so Shad says), and so much more!! Hayzen is going to have a blast! ;) We are hopefully taking a trip back East for a family reunion/birthday party for Shad's Great Grandma. But we will see how our finances go since we REALLY want to buy a house by August/September time! Shad has a huge work schedule for the summer, so many jobs to get done. So it will be mostly Hayzen and I doing things together and spending time with Shad every chance we get!

I'm so excited for everything coming up in the next few months! :) More will be posted as stuff happens...but for now please enjoy many many pictures from this past month! :)
