Hayzen 4/5 Months

This is one late post!! But better late than never.

Hayzen is almost 5 months now!!

He has gotten so big! It's crazy how much and how fast he learns everything. He is rolling over, starting to scoot himself in circles and getting those legs moving. He'll be crawling in no time!

At his 4 month appointment he weighed 13lbs exactly and was 24.8 inches. I couldn't be happier that he has almost doubled his birth weight in 4 months!! We were told that we could start solids, but we have chosen to wait until 6 months. All he needs right now is my breast milk. :)

His favorite thing right now is to stand up in our laps. He giggles and smiles and is so happy when he gets to stand up! He loves playing on the floor with all his toys. But since he learned to roll from his back to his stomach he will roll over play for a few then get frustrated because he can't roll back onto his back! He has rolled both ways before, but I think he's forgotten how it works. He'll get it soon though! He's a smart boy. :)

The best thing about Hayzen is watching his face light up when I walk into a room. He is always so happy to see me or Shad. It makes my heart swell with pride. He really is the perfect baby!

A few weeks ago Hayzen started screaming in pain a lot at night and wouldn't sleep unless I nursed him and cuddled him in bed with me. We took him to the doctors because this just isn't normal for him and it started to worry us. The doctor said it may be heartburn, so he gave us some medicine for him. We are going on a week of using it and it seems to be helping. But we are still struggling at night. This should get back to normal soon....I hope!

He's had a cold and a little bit of the flu also. :( I hate when he's sick. His poor nose is so stuffed up and he hates the bulb and us sucking his boogers out with it! But it's the only thing that really helps him. So we are dealing with that, but he woke up sounding a lot better this morning!

We are still battling a goopy eye. The doctor said that if it's still goopy at his 6 month appointment then they will probably operate on it. I hope it clears up soon, I hate seeing him not able to open his eye up all the way!

But with all of this happening, he is still one happy kid most of the time!! We of course have our days when he's super tired and ornery, but I have those days too! Can't expect him to be happy all the time! ;)

Here are lots of pictures of our little man!!
